Xavier Michelides is renowned for his distinctive style of surreal character comedy, with a career spanning over two decades. Recently, his satirical videos parodying Bunnings have gained a loyal following, amassing millions of views and attracting more than 77,000 Instagram followers and 30,000 on TikTok. Currently, Xavier also lends his talents as a writer for Network Ten’s The Project.

Notably, Xavier teamed up with Ben Russell and Aunty Donna to create the highly successful web series Hug the Sun. In its debut week on YouTube, the series garnered an impressive 100,000 views and climbed to the sixth spot on Australia’s trending charts. It earned an AACTA award nomination and won two prestigious awards: the WA Screen Culture Award for Innovation in Web Series and Best Web Series at Film Quest Utah.

Xavier is also a talented actor, having recently appeared in Taika Waititi’s Time Bandits and Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe. He has also featured in the highly successful Sportsbet ‘BS Responsibly’ campaign, as well as previous campaigns for McCain, Holden, and Movember.

Xavier has been performing as a stand-up comedian since 2001 and has participated in numerous Comedy and Fringe festivals. He has received nominations for the Golden Gibbo at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Best Comedy at Perth Fringe World. Additionally, Xavier has performed corporate comedy for clients such as Bankwest, RAC, and WorkSafe.
