The hugely popular Side Splitter Comedy festival returns for its ninth massive year of laughter at the iconic Memorial Hall, October 4, 5, 11 and 12.

Presented by the City of Cockburn and produced by WA Comedy, the 2024 program features a whopping 16 events, including a variety of side-splitting comedy gala’s, showcases, and solo shows that are guaranteed to leave you in stitches.
Festival highlights include:

Lehmo Live, Friday October 4 8.30pm- 9.30pm (OPENING NIGHT)

As seen on TV’s The Project, Utopia and Before the Game. Lehmo is one of Australia’s most experienced and well-travelled comedians. Lehmo’s live work has seen him headline at comedy clubs for well over fifteen years and work all corners of the globe – USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand.

Dilruk Jayasinha – Live, Saturday October 5 7- 8pm

Dilruk is renowned as one of the most electrifying stand-up comedians in the country. His comedy is a delightful blend of charm, energy, and uproarious humour that guarantees a night full of laughter.

Luke Heggie – “GROGAN”, Saturday October 12 7- 8pm

Comic favourite Luke Heggie is known for his dry deadpan style and the ability to deliver a brand-new killer comedy show year after year.

In 2024, Heggie introduced his show “GROGAN” to the comedy festival circuit where he did a month in Melbourne International Comedy Festival and a massive box office engagement at the Enmore Theatre as part of Sydney Comedy Festival. Luke’s upcoming performance at Side Splitter Comedy Festival will be the final WA date on his 2024 national tour. This will sell-out!

Luke Heggie’s television appearances include performing live on the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Opening Night Allstars Supershow, Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Oxfam Gala, Just for Laughs Stand-Up Series filmed live at the Sydney Opera House for the Comedy Channel, you would have also seen him on The Project, ABC’s Question Everything, ABC’s Comedy Next Gen and Comedy Up Late.

Rounding out the program includes festival favourites: The Gala Spectacular hosted by Matt Dyktynski, Suns of Fred, Xavier Michelides (star of the viral Bunnings Tiktok videos), The Gala Extravaganza hosted by Gill Cordiner, and heaps more.

Side Splitter also features a pop-up garden bar and food truck for you to enjoy a deep and meaningful before or after a show.
